Kulolo Kai- Adopted
Peach- Adopted
Kulolo Kai joined PMR from North Central Shelter in LA after he was pulled from the adoption floor for developing a respiratory infection and his status became urgent. Since recovering from that, he has proven himself to be the most robust and jolly of fellows with more inquisitive charm and love than we have ever seen! Kulolo is around 1.5 years old and 35 lbs of squishy delight. His name means Ocean Pudding. He is a lover of all beings and constant entertainment, flopping his body around and looking for mischief. Kuli is living his best life with his furever pawrents, frenchie brother Tuber and kitty brother Gibbs.
Rodney- Adopted
Rodney the Pirate Prince! Rodney is a handsome 3 year old french bulldog who was surrendered with a ruptured eye and large abdominal mass on the left side of his body from an "unknown" trauma. In addition to that, Rodney also has very pinched nostrils, is not neutered and has hard cauliflower buds of scar tissue in both ears from years of untreated infections.
In the first two months Rodney joined PMR we removed the left eye, gotten him neutered, healed the swelling on his side and did a BOAS surgery to open his nares, shorten the palate and remove enlarged saccules from his throat to help him breathe more comfortably. He is recovered from those procedures and moved into an amazing Foster to Adopt home with PMR Alumni Greta Sprinkles and family to work on his ears and start living his best new life! He is now officially adopted and adored by all he meets!

Teddy Rose- Adopted
Teddy Roosevelt is a luscious and meaty 55lb english bulldog. He just turned 1 on December 10th and found himself being taken to the shelter when his family was moving. We were able to scoop Teddy up before he was processed and place hime with the perfect furever family. Teddy loves to go for leash walks and be in the middle of family activity. He's a total hunk and dream dog. Fireman Ted now lives in Connecticut with his teacher mom, firefighter dad, brindle twin sister and human brother.
Gigi Ray- Adopted
Gigi Ray is a very petite tri-colored french bulldog full of light and personality! She is fully deaf with mild cerebellum and vision impairment that gives her some unique dance moves but her special abilities do not slow or inhibit her from living a fully active and happy life. She does not take any medication for her conditions and we do not think they are progressive conditions. If anything, her vision and mobility has improved as she grows. In spite of her tiny size, this little lady can hold her own and loves to play with dogs of all sizes. She is the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. She has the spirit of the hummingbird.
Gigi lives in Kansas City with her human parents and 3 dog sisters. She is part of the Kansas City Frenchie Club and loves stroller rides with her grammy.

Jovie went through 2 months of tail pocket surgery and recovery before she was medically cleared to make her adoption official in March 2022. This makes Jovie our first adoption of the year : )

Rainbow Bridge Angels
Wynstann Frecklebelly
Wynsyann joined PMR at 6 months old with severe hydrocephalus, neurological cysts and skeletal malformations. With love and care he began to thrive and enjoyed a beautiful 2 more years on earth as a sanctuary resident before crossing over in November 2023.
Wynstann's favorite past times were playing tag in the yard, napping by the fireplace and above all, expanding his culinary knowledge. Wynsyann loved food more than anything and would taste test every bite with thoughtfulness and reflection worthy of a New York Times food critic.
He was a kind and gentle friend to everyone he met, no matter how big or small. Freckles was one of the easiest dogs to care for and love that we have ever had. A rhinstone cowboy with looks and personlaity, Wynnsyann was legendary and in our hearts everyday.

Grandma Tootsie
Grandma Tootsie joined us as a medical foster for I Stand With My Pack that quickly shifted into a hospice experience. We officially adopted Tootsie after her first night with us and loved her as much as we could until her Rainbow Bridge Crossing which happened after only 4 short days together. We are so honored to have been Tootsie's final stop and furever family. She is a beautiful spirit.
Wilby Amazing
Wilby Amazing was the most scrumptious, sweet and happy little unicorn star seed. His favorite things were following someone around the house, smelling flowers, coffee & patties with ma'am and being out in the sunshine.
Wilby joined PMR at 12 weeks old and had just short of 1 beautiful year with us at the sanctuary. Each day with him was a gift. He captured our hearts and many others around the world with his attitude of possibility and magic.

Beans, Bernaise Sauce, Bean Dip, Beanie Baby, Green Beans. Bernie Beans was a furever foster due to his medical and behavioral needs. He lived a beautiful life with his foster family and trainer. Charlie Girl
Charlie was surrendered to rescue with loss of bladder control and hind end mobility after the strain of pregnancy and giving birth naturally caused an IVDD spinal injury in addition to having spina bifida. She loved everyone she met and freely shared her joy with the world. Charlie was 5 years old and spent the last 7 months of her life being adored in her foster home. She was obsessed with water and we will always remember her as our marshmallow mermaid. Charlie peacefully but unexpectedly crossed over the rainbow bridge one evening in early August. We do not know what happened to cut her journey short but she was so very loved by our Present Moment family.
Lolly Pop
Sweet, sweet Lolly. The most gentle and soulful girl who was dealt a really difficult hand in terms of her start to life and medical challenges. Lolly had multifocal brain disease with an underdeveloped frontal lobe, cerebellum and middle cortex. The overall stunting of her brain development left Lolly with blindness, an inability process things and engage in life around her along with significant regression of her mobility. We chose to honor Lolly for what her journey was and not subject to her to an existance that we culd see and sense was not an enriching quality of life. She returned to her star body in a beautiful life transition ceremony in the meditation gardens at the sanctuary where her spirit will always be present.
Polly Pocket
Polly Pocket joined our rescue and family from our rescue partners Nor Cal Bully Breed Rescue. Sweet Pockey had a difficult medical journey, starting with the cleft palate and hydrocephalus that we knew about. As she began to grow, her body began to shut down due to diabetes incipitus which caused her sodium levels to spike, seizures and eventual herniating of her brain. Polly was the sassiest little thing who made you work for her love making it all the mosre soecial when she would bless us with her cuddles and kisses. She loved sunbathing and talking smack to her food at meal times. She will always have a special place in our hearts and with her first foster mama Leslie.
Falcor
Sweet Falkie was our first ever husky pup who we partnered with Luna Siberian Husky Rescue to care for. Falcor arrived with three broken legs and an incredibly rare condition known as Osteogenesis Imperfecta. His bones were brittle and he would have endured a life on breaks and discomfort. We gave him an incredible bucket list day filled with beach adventures, cheeseburgers and lots of love. He crossed the bridge peacefully in our meditation garden on 6/18/21.
Oliver Starberry
Oliver was a 6 week old english bulldog baby with hydrocephalus. By the time he reached us he had already begun his final phase. We only got to love him for one night but are grateful he crossed over in our arms on 6/14/21, knowing he was loved.
Romeo
Romeo was a 7 week old hydrocephalus warrior who was also vision impaired. He was a fluffy Lab Pitty mix with a heart of gold! Romeo had a spinal injury and other neurological challenges that could not be managed. We helped him cross the rainbow bridge on 5/5/21.
Nibbs Babe
Nibbs Babe is our first hospice baby. He came to us with hydrocephalus and cerebellar hypoplasia. After a joyful 3 weeks of love and life at the sanctuary, Nibbs peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 4/19/21.
